Being ready for kindergarten, both academically and socially, is one of the most important factors in a child’s future academic success.
Kindergarten Partnership & Innovation supports parents and community partners in kindergarten readiness in several ways:

Connecting Educators and Professionals
Bringing together early-learning and kindergarten teachers for professional development.

Connecting Families
Connecting families to their local school by hosting family engagement activities or series-based parent education, or through READY! For Kindergarten.

Parenting Education
We host evidence and research based curriculum. Common courses include:- Abriendo Puertas/Opening Doors – the first evidence-based comprehensive training program developed by and for Latino parents with children ages 0-5.
- Nurturing Parenting – Empowering families with knowledge and skills to parent in nurturing ways.
- The Incredible Years – Programs for parents, children and teachers that prevent and treat young children's behavior problems and promote their social, emotional and academic competence.
- Making Parenting a Pleasure - Addresses self-care, stress and anger management, understanding child development, communication skills, positive discipline.
READY! for Kindergarten Curriculum

Bringing Purpose to Playtime.
READY! for Kindergarten workshops and tools empower parents and caregivers to help babies and young children develop strong brain connections that determine how they will think, learn and grow.
READY! facilitates interactions and active learning by using movement, play, exploration, communication and all of a child’s senses—seeing, hearing, smelling, touching and tasting.
