Building social and emotional capacity
Social-emotional development is the foundation for success in school and throughout life. Care Connect helps parents and providers give children the support they need to feel capable and confident.

Care Connect & Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network
Funded by a grant from the Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network, Care Connect aims to build positive relationships between children and their caregivers and peers. By intervening early in life, we can prevent academic, social, and mental health challenges down the road.
Care Connect increases the capacity of both parents and early education programs (child cares and preschools) through specialized trainings that explore the root causes of difficult behaviors and share strategies to respond effectively and compassionately.
Program coordinator Skye Hibbard-Swanson works collaboratively with partner organizations to refer parents and providers to relevant resources. And when there are ongoing or significant concerns, Care Connect offers access to a team of contracted early childhood mental health specialists for behavior consultation.

If a young child you care for could use some support, please reach out.
