Parent Advisory Committee (PAC)
The PAC plays a critical role in the overall work as a hub community. The parent voice and input is a guiding foundation to the overall design and implementation of initiatives that will reach families in a meaningful way.
The PAC meets every other month.
Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is a cross sector body that oversees the overall advancement of the Marion & Polk Early Learning Hub. This body develops a strategic plan and identifies investments to achieve the overall goals of kindergarten readiness, family stability, and coordinated and aligned services. The Board is comprised of Marion & Polk partners supporting the sectors of Business, Early Education & Care, Parents, K-12 & Post Secondary Education, Healthcare, and Social Services. The Board meets monthly on the first Thursday from 3:00-5:00pm at Willamette Valley Community Health- 3025 Ryan Drive Salem, OR 97301.
Regional Implementation Team (RIT)
Collective Action Team (CAT)
The CAT meets monthly, bringing together professionals from healthcare, early childhood development, K-12 education and social services. These committed professionals provide guidance input around how Hub initiatives, such as Kindergarten Partnership and Innovation, and a variety of issues and how they affect the local community.
The CAT also advises the activities for the OPEC Parenting Hub grant for Marion County, focusing on providing parent education with the ultimate goal of having parent education as a normal activity for all families.
The CAT works toward success in several ways:
- Children experience quality early learning and literacy development.
- Connections are built between families, early learning and K-12 schools.
- Families and caregivers are developing skills that support children.
- Families are connecting to a healthcare medical home.
- Children are developmentally screened and referred.
- Child and family services are aligned and coordinated.
