The resources below can help you make the most of your child's formative years.
The Ages & Stages Questionnaire:
The Ages and Stages Questionnaires (ASQ-3™) (for children from birth to age 6) reveals a child’s strengths as well as areas where they may benefit from extra practice or support.
If a child’s developmental challenge is identified late, it can impact their life in significant ways. Early detection can help a child get appropriate care and help foster developmental growth.
Spark: High-Quality Child Care
Spark Child Care Quality Rating
Childcare providers in the network work hard to demonstrate high-quality care that meets state-defined standards—which can earn them a star rating.
Multilingual Providers with Spark
Spark's Focused Child Care Networks also includes active English- and Spanish-speaking childcare providers in Marion and Polk Counties.
Care Connect & Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network
Funded by a grant from the Mid-Valley Behavioral Care Network, Care Connect aims to build positive relationships between children and their caregivers and peers. By intervening early in life, we can prevent academic, social, and mental health challenges down the road.
Care Connect increases the capacity of both parents and early education programs (child cares and preschools) through specialized trainings that explore the root causes of difficult behaviors and share strategies to respond effectively and compassionately.
Program coordinator Skye Hibbard-Swanson works collaboratively with partner organizations to refer parents and providers to relevant resources. And when there are ongoing or significant concerns, Care Connect offers access to a team of contracted early childhood mental health specialists for behavior consultation.
